Warriors left-back Jordan Zemura has joined English Championship club Watford on a season-long loan from Serie A side Udinese.
The 26-year-old returns to English football after three seasons in Italy, where he made 73 appearances for Udinese. Zemura began his senior career in England with Bournemouth, so the switch to Watford brings him back to familiar territory and a division he knows well. A full season of regular minutes is the clear aim.
For Watford the deal adds pace and attacking intent down the left, qualities Zemura showed in Serie A. For the player it is a chance to rebuild rhythm after a stop-start spell in Italy, and to remind bigger clubs of the form that first earned him a move abroad.
Zimbabwe stand to gain most. Zemura is a first-choice Warrior, and steady Championship football should keep him sharp for national team duty under Michael Nees. His experience across two major European leagues also makes him a valuable senior voice in a squad blending home-based talent with players scattered across the continent and Europe.
Where to bet: Zimbabwean fans following Zemura can find Watford and Championship markets on Africabet and Betway, priced in USD, covering match results, promotion odds and both teams to score. Shop both books before kickoff to secure the sharper line. 18+. Gamble responsibly.
