The International Cricket Council has published the full fixture schedule for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 and opened the public ticket ballot. Zimbabwe play five matches, in Bulawayo, in Harare and at the Mosi-oa-Tunya Stadium in Victoria Falls.
The tournament runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027. Fourteen teams play fifty seven matches at twelve venues in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Three rounds come before the semi finals and the final: a Super Series in Windhoek, then a group stage of twelve teams in two groups of six, then a Super 7. The shape of the fourteen team tournament was set out when the venues were announced.
Zimbabwe’s five matches
Zimbabwe are in Group A with India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Qualifier A. They open against Qualifier A at Queen’s Sports Club in Bulawayo on 9 October. Afghanistan follow in Bulawayo on 11 October, then Australia in Harare on 15 October and Pakistan in Harare on 19 October. The last of the five is against India at the Mosi-oa-Tunya Stadium in Victoria Falls on 24 October.
All three Zimbabwean grounds also carry fixtures between other teams, so the five above are Zimbabwe’s own matches rather than the whole Zimbabwean programme. The full list is on the ICC schedule, and the Zimbabwean end of it runs through our Zimbabwe sports news coverage.
How the ticket ballot works
The ballot opened on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 South African time on 21 November 2026. Entry is free. Valid entries received inside that window are considered equally, whatever moment they are sent in, and where demand is greater than the tickets available the selection is randomised. A fan may submit one ballot entry per match and enter for several matches across the tournament.
Entering does not guarantee a ticket. Successful entrants receive an email and a window in which to buy. The ICC puts prices at about USD 9.50 for entry level tickets and about USD 30 for the highest tier matches, and says they will vary with exchange rates. Special consideration has been given to family bundles, student and pensioner pricing, early bird local allocations and community club and school group pricing.
Where the rest is played
The group stage opens with Australia against India at Newlands in Cape Town on 7 October. The semi finals are in Cape Town on 17 November and in Tshwane on 18 November, and the final is in Johannesburg on 21 November. Zimbabwe’s opener has no named opponent yet, because Qualifier A is still to be decided, and AXN Sports will carry that when it is.
