Juma Miyaji and Gerald Olipa, both Uganda internationals, have joined the 2026 National Premier League T20 Blast in Zimbabwe under Zimbabwe Cricket’s African Player Initiative.
Both players have arrived in Harare. Miyaji, who is 23, is a right hand batter and bowling all rounder and joins Old Hararians. Olipa, who is 18, is a right hand batter who also bowls off spin and joins Takashinga Patriots 1.
Eight players from four countries
The initiative brought eight young players from four African Associate nations into the competition, two each from Uganda, Nigeria, Rwanda and Tanzania. It is designed to give emerging Associate players competitive exposure.
