The 43rd Impala Floodlit Tournament reaches its semi-final stage on Saturday 24 October 2026 in Nairobi.
Club, university and women’s sides will compete for places in the finals on 31 October.
KCB and Mwamba lead the charge
The tournament’s top club teams meet in two semi-finals. KCB face Mwamba RFC in one of them.
The other club semi-final is a classic derby between Nondescripts (Nondies) and Kenya Harlequins (Quins). A place in the final is at stake.
University showdown
JKUAT Cougars face Zetech Oaks in one university semi-final.
The second university tie pairs USIU Martials with Daystar Falcons. Both teams want a place in the 31 October finals.
Women’s semi-finals
The women’s semi-finals complete the night in Kenyan rugby. Mwamba meet Northern Suburbs.
In the other tie, hosts Impala take on Kenya Harlequins. Impala will aim to get past Quins and reach the final on their own ground.
Chairman urges fans to turn out
Ahead of the weekend, Impala Floodlit Tournament chairman Loren Lubanga stressed how important the semi-final stage is and encouraged supporters to come out in big numbers. With club, university and women’s contests all on the same day, rugby fans in Nairobi have plenty to look forward to.
