Ghana Premier League clubs are moving quickly in the transfer market as the window heads toward its 23 August deadline.
Reigning champions Medeama SC are among the busiest, linked with several players as they build for a CAF Champions League campaign. Continental football demands squad depth, and the club knows a domestic title alone will not carry them through the early rounds against seasoned opponents from across the continent.
Bibiani Gold Stars have made their intentions clear too. The club’s chief executive confirmed a push for striker Albert Amoah as they look to add goals ahead of the 2026/27 season. A proven scorer would give Gold Stars a firmer platform after a demanding previous campaign.
The traditional giants have not been quiet. Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are both expected to be active before the deadline, aware that their supporters demand titles rather than mid table finishes. Every signing at either club draws heavy scrutiny, and the pressure to recruit well is real.
With just weeks left, the pace will pick up. Clubs that fail to close deals in time risk starting the season short in key areas, and late business often shapes how the table looks by December. Fans across Ghana will track every announcement closely.
Where to bet: Ghanaian fans following the new season can use licensed bookmakers Betway and SportyBet, which price league and outright markets in Ghana cedis, GHS. Odds move as squads settle, so check before kickoff. 18+. Gamble responsibly.
Once the window shuts, attention turns to the pitch. The clubs that recruited smartly will hope their new signings settle fast enough to make an early impression in the title race.
