Silver Strikers have pushed to the top of the TNM Super League, edging ahead as the Malawian title race turns into a genuine scrap.
The Central Bankers have found form at the right time, stringing together results to climb above a chasing pack that refuses to let go. Perennial heavyweights FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have dropped costly points in recent weeks, handing rivals a rare chance to close the gap on the country’s most successful club.
Mighty Wanderers and Blue Eagles are also lurking, keeping the top of the table congested. In a league where a single win can shuffle the order, every fixture now carries weight. Bullets still have the squad depth to mount a title defence, but they can no longer afford the slip-ups that have crept into their season.
The tight race is good news for the Flames. A competitive domestic league keeps home-based players under pressure and in form, exactly what Callisto Pasuwa needs as he balances local talent with his foreign legion. Standout Super League performers will be eyeing a national team call-up on the back of strong club form.
