Victor Osimhen is again at the centre of the transfer market. Tottenham Hotspur are the latest Premier League club linked with the Super Eagles striker, and Arsenal have kept a long standing interest, yet Galatasaray hold the strong hand: Osimhen is signed in Istanbul on a contract that runs until 2029.
No formal bid has reached Galatasaray, and the Turkish champions have shown no wish to sell. For Nigeria that stability matters. Osimhen is the focal point of the attack, and a settled, in form striker lifts the whole national team.
He is not the only Nigerian on the move this window. Midfielder Raphael Onyedika is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, adding to a strong group abroad that includes Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Wilfred Ndidi.
