Raphael Onyedika is joining Eintracht Frankfurt. Reports in Germany say the deal for the Super Eagles midfielder is done, and he will line up in the Bundesliga next season, a clear step up for a player who has grown into one of Nigeria’s most reliable holding midfielders.
Onyedika’s game is built on protecting the back four, winning the ball, and keeping possession moving. Frankfurt have a habit of improving African talent and selling on at a profit, so the move suits both player and club.
His transfer fits a busy window for Nigerian players. Victor Osimhen is drawing Premier League interest while Galatasaray hold firm, and the wider group abroad, from Lookman to Chukwueze and Ndidi, keeps the Super Eagles well stocked ahead of a packed calendar.
