Mamelodi Sundowns scored deep into stoppage time to draw one all at Chippa United, keeping their unbeaten record intact and denying the hosts a first win of the Betway Premiership season.
Sirgio Kammies put Chippa in front late in the second half at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London. The hosts held the lead until deep into added time, when the substitute Antonio van Wyk levelled from inside the box.
Chippa were minutes from three points and finished with one.
What it does to the table
Sundowns are unbeaten after eight matches and lead on twenty points. Orlando Pirates are second on thirteen, seven behind, but with three matches in hand. That is the number that decides how real the lead is, and it will not be settled until Pirates play those games.
Chippa are still looking for a first league win of the season. The Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso spoke afterwards about the state of the pitch at Buffalo City, where wet ground affected play throughout.
Chiefs held, AmaZulu keep winning
Kaizer Chiefs also drew one all. Lebohang Maboe put them in front in the first half at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium and Giovanni Philander levelled for Polokwane City in the second half. The draw took Chiefs to twelve points and they missed the chance to climb.
AmaZulu beat Marumo Gallants by a goal to nil, Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya scoring.
Where to bet: Hollywoodbets and Betway, both licensed through provincial gambling boards, price the Betway Premiership in rand on match result, both teams to score, total goals and correct score, with deposits by Ozow instant EFT, Capitec Pay and OTT Voucher. A side that keeps drawing, as Chippa have, tends to be priced short on the draw and long on the win, so those two markets can disagree about the same match.
