Mighty Wanderers have reinstated Bob Mpinganjira as head coach with immediate effect, in a board statement dated 4 October.
The board said the decision followed a thorough review of the club’s technical setup. The rest of the technical panel stays in place for the time being, and the club said any further changes would be announced later.
Why he was away
Mpinganjira was suspended after Wanderers lost the Airtel Top 8 final to Ekhaya FC 2-1. The club gave no specific reason for the suspension at the time.
MacDonald Nginde Mtetemera took charge as interim coach in his absence and led Wanderers through their CAF Champions League tie against Simba.
What he comes back to
The FDH Bank Premiership second round resumes on Saturday 10 October, so Mpinganjira is back in the dugout for the restart.
