Who are the AFCON holders?

Morocco are listed by CAF as AFCON 2025 champions. Senegal won the final in Rabat 1-0 after extra time on 18 January 2026, but the CAF Appeal Board ruled on 17 March 2026 that Senegal had forfeited the match after walking off in protest at a penalty. Senegal appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which heard the case on 8 October 2026; this page will be updated when the ruling is published.
