Simba have won the race for South African winger Keletso Makgalwa, snatching the deal from under rivals Yanga.

Yanga have not stood still. The champions added midfielder Juma Issa Abushiri as part of their rebuild, mixing local talent with foreign arrivals as they prepare to defend the title and push again in the CAF Champions League. Both clubs know continental football rewards squad depth.
Simba, meanwhile, have reshaped their technical setup and brought in fresh faces to reunite the coaching staff with familiar players. After watching Yanga lift the crown, the club has treated this window as a chance to close the gap and rebuild a squad capable of challenging on every front.
Azam remain the third force in these battles, and their business will matter too. The transfer rush across the league suggests a season where the title could hinge on how well the new arrivals settle in the opening months.
